I always love photography. When I was 12 I bought my first camera, a
Kodak Instamatic. It was about $30 back then. I took photos of just
about everything. While in the Army, I bought a Canon AE-1. For
about a period of 4 years, I took at least two rolls of film a week.
Now a days I'm using a digital camera. Which makes it a lot easier
to take more photos and verify them on the fly. However, looking
back at my first photos back from when I was twelve, and those I
just took a few hours ago, I see one thing that always remains the
same: My style. Sure it has grown and evolved. But it is evident
that for me, it's much more than making beautiful portraits; my main
focus has always been to try and record a time in history, capture
the essence of the moment, place and spirit of that or those I
photograph. |
